SALON'S TV PICKS FOR
MONDAY, JUNE 29, 1998
BY JOYCE MILLMAN

S E R I E S

Forget the lame movie; latecomers to the saga of Mulder and Scully can catch up on the really good stuff in 100 Nights of the X-Files (8 p.m., FX). The first 100 episodes of the series air in order over the next 100 weeknights. Tonight, it's the 1993 pilot, when both of them had bad hair. Biography (8 p.m. EDT/9 PDT, A&E) has a new profile of Anthony Quinn. In the first of back-to-back Everybody Loves Raymond reruns (8:30 p.m., CBS), Debra is interviewed by a psychologist for a book on the American family. In the second episode (9 p.m.), Ray inadvertently invites a distant relative to stay with them. Ally tangles with a rabbi on a divorce case on a rerun of Ally McBeal (9 p.m., Fox). Buffy the Vampire Slayer (9 p.m., WB) repeats the one where Xander falls in with a bad crowd -- he's possessed by the spirit of a hyena. 20/20 Monday (9 p.m., ABC) reports on women who've come out after years of marriage and child raising. The Practice (10 p.m., ABC) reruns the episode where the firm tries a last-minute appeal to save a convicted killer from execution.
